I seek here to make it easier for most people to find and enjoy the many Sacred Harp videos online at YouTube. For more information on Sacred Harp, see the links elsewhere on this website. I sing a bit of Sacred Harp, and I thought this would be a useful resource to set up after several singers told me they discovered Sacred Harp via YouTube. It is a bit awkward to operate YouTube directly, with some weaknesses of the interface.

The idea here is to dedicate individual pages (tabs) to some of the video producers we can thank for the wealth of singing content online, much of it added only in the past two or three years. I post the link to the complete list of uploaded videos by each producer, which is part of their YouTube “channel” data. Then I embed a video or two of theirs on that page.

Not all the videos posted by each producer are Sacred Harp. Some do a lot of other video work. But this seems a fair approach in several respects, for all involved.

I will not attempt to name the video producers, and do not even know some of those names. Many are Sacred Harp singers of course.

The interface at YouTube has always been somewhat confusing to many, and they keep changing it too. Please download this image below, that I set up, and refer to it when watching YouTube videos. As noted, the informational words are absolutely essential, and they are hidden by default at YouTube!
